Be a Juke Box Hero: ebay Auction to Support our Band Program!

A guitar - signed by Foreigner!

…That one guitar, felt good in his hands, didn’t take long, to understand / Just one guitar, slung way down low / Was a one way ticket, only one way to go…

The City of El Cerrito is holding an online auction for the first time (or, it feels like the first time) to benefit the before/after School Band Classes at Fairmont, Harding and Madera elementary schools.
Guitar Center, Emeryville has donated an Epiphone Les Paul Jr. Single Cut Electric Guitar autographed by all the members of the classic rock (and, later, 80s power ballad) band, Foreigner.

Say you will go and bid!

The City is offering the signed guitar to the highest Hot Blooded bidder in an online auction to raise money to support the elementary school band programs.

It’s urgent, so urgent, so-oh-oh urgent (urgent urgent)…  The auction ends at 11:59pm on Friday June 1st.

The money raised will go to the David M. Hunter Memorial Scholarship to help students who could otherwise not afford to participate in the band program next year. Help them grow to be Starriders.

My double vision always seems to get the best of me. For more details about the band programs go to the City of El Cerrito site. The City of El Cerrito before/after School Band Programs are supported by the School District, Fairmont PTA, Harding PTA and Madera PTA.

You wanna know what love is? Go and bid on the guitar! (or tell your friends about it on facebook.)

Like a trip through the past, to that day in the rain
And that one guitar made his whole life change
Now he needs to keep rockin He just cant stop
Gotta keep on rockin That boy has got to stay on top
