Madera School Art Show

The Madera School Art Show is coming!
An evening to celebrate our childrens’ art.

Dinner, dessert and drinks will be served and there will be a live jazz band. This is a great opportunity to showcase your child’s talent, and a fantastic way for them to see their work in a different setting!

Entries are due on Tuesday January 20th from 8:00-9:00 am in the Multi Purpose Room.

All entrants will be honored and no judging will occur.

The categories are:
Visual Art
Literature
Photography
Music and Dance

Entries must be the child’s original artwork.

Guidelines:

Entries must be the child’s original work. Parents can give support by pro-viding materials, encouragement and discussing ideas. Artwork must have been done in this school year.

Visual Art
Prints, drawings, paintings, collage, metal work, textile or fiber crafts, sculpture, ceramics, clay, jewelry, etc.

Literature
Fiction or non-fiction prose, poetry, drama, song lyrics or short stories. En-tries may be typed or hand written, maximum 2000 words. Kindergartners, First Graders, and physically challenged students may dictate their composition for an adult to transcribe.

Photography
Original photograph(s) from the student may be entered alone or within a multimedia composition. Digital enhancement, retouching, or augmentation with other media allowed.

Music and Dance
Students may submit a recording/video of their original musical (voice or instrumental, lyrics are optional) or dance composition with a maximum of five minutes. Please bring a copy of the recording in your chosen format and the means to play it (CD player, computer, etc.). For dance entries, please credit dancers or videographers other than yourself.

Please provide a plate stand when applicable
