7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets for tonight’s screening of “Race to Nowhere“.
Tickets are ALL SOLD OUT. This means that there won’t be any available at the door to purchase. If you have a ticket, and your plans have changed and you aren’t able to use it, please let me know. – Or post on Madera Connects.
I’m excited that there is so much interest and look forward to seeing you tonight at the Rialto. Don’t forget to come a little early to order food and drinks. Plus parking around there can be tough.
There will be a moderated discussion immediately after the movie.
About the movie: Featuring the heartbreaking stories of young people across the country who have been pushed to the brink, educators who are burned out and worried that students aren’t developing the skills they need, and parents who are trying to do what’s best for their kids, Race to Nowhere points to the silent epidemic in our schools: cheating has become commonplace, students have become disengaged, stress-related illness, depression and burnout are rampant, and young people arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired.
Race to Nowhere is a call to mobilize families, educators, and policy makers to challenge current assumptions on how to best prepare the youth of America to become healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens.
Find out more and see a preview of the film on the official ‘Race to Nowhere’ website.
