Olympic Spirit Rally
Tuesday, October 18, 2011 | 11:00am

The Madera Olympics is fast approaching and we still need help filling our volunteer spots.

Please help us by volunteering to participate and supporting our students in
this very entertaining fund raising event! We have created a list of shifts
that are available at:

Also, I am looking for soccer goals and soccer balls to borrow for the Olympics.  We will need the goals and balls only on Friday the 21st between 2 and 5.  So if you have some available that you wouldn’t mind letting us borrow, please contact me and I’ll arrange a pick up time.

Madera Parents:

The 21st Annual Madera School Olympics will be on October 21th, 2011. Students can only take part if they turn in a signed permission/pledge sheet (no pledges required to participate) to the school.

This PTA-sponsored activity is the school’s second largest fund raising event of the year. In previous years between $5,000 and $11,000 has been raised to help support the computer lab, classroom art supplies, cultural arts assemblies, and more–all for the benefit of Madera students.

The Olympic Rally is on the Tuesday before the Olympics. This is a fun event that gets the students excited about the Olympics. It is scheduled for 11am and will last 1 hour. Each of the classes will perform an Olympic cheer and the teachers will participate in a Olympic challenge. It is a lot of fun for everyone. Please plan to attend. (Non-Madera children cannot be on the campus.)

Students can help raise money by having family and friends make pledges towards each of the events in which they participate. Any amount can help the school. Pledges can be made on the reverse side of this sheet.

We hope all children can participate in this fun event and show Madera Spirit.

**Pledge / permission sheets must be turned in by Friday, October 21st, in order to participate. **
