9:00am – 12:00pm
Over the past couple of years I have gotten feedback from different community members about the difficulty of making scheduled garden work days. Some folks work during the week and can’t attend our usual Friday after school work days. Other folks are busy with sports games and family trips on the weekends. So, now I have come up with the ultimate solution…wait for it…
Back to back Friday and Saturday work days. So whether you’ve got a 9 to 5, or you’ve got a standing date with Little League on Saturdays, we’ve got a day and time to meet everyone’s scheduling needs! I know, I know, sheer genius (it’s only taken me four years to work this out.)
We will be weeding, moving mulch, fixing retaining walls, pruning, and possibly planting. We have basic tools (shovels, weeders, etc.) but if you have a special tool that just helps you to get the job done right, please bring it. I hope we have enough people that we can also work on weeding the front park strip and helping the 6th graders with the monumental task of clearing the hillside next to the driveway.
Also, please know that on Saturday the school will not be open. This means that we will not have access to a restroom on site. We have a key for the bathroom in the park right down the road, but I figure forewarned is forearmed.
If you have any questions, or are thinking you might make it out, please contact me via email.
Thanks and hope to see you there,
