Madera Garden Updates

Madera Farmer's Market + Book Fair on Friday, April 19th
Madera Farmer’s Market + Book Fair on Friday, April 19th

Hello all,

We have some exciting happenings in the garden this month.  Check it out-

The Garden website has been updated.  Take a look!

Madera Market Gear is available- shirts, hats, bags, and those super-cute aprons.  And, a small percentage of each item’s price goes back to our PTA.

In honor of Earth Day, we are running a big Farmers Market on Friday, April 19th from 2:40-4:00.  We are selling produce, eggs, farmer-made herbed salts and potpourri.  Also we are going to have a booth where we are selling Barefoot Books.  We are going to feature books that talk about our earth, nature, and farms, but we will have other stories there as well.  15% of all books sold at the market, as well as books sold online between April 15th and April 26rd, will come back to the PTA.  To preview the selection, click here.

Also, and these two things just happened today- Matt Reed just finished up our drip irrigation system.  A big hurrah to him for seeing this SUPER important project through.  And, we just received a good-sized seed donation from Peaceful Valley Farms.

Hope you can be involved in some way this month.  Buy an apron, purchase a book, volunteer at our market, donate produce, or just come and sit in the garden with your child!

Thanks and happy gardening,
