We have lots of exciting events coming up in the garden, so we hope that everyone will find a way to take part. Check it out:
1. We are going to run a small Farmers Market at the Carnival this Saturday. The market will be open from 11-1, but we could use volunteers from 10-1. If you want to come and help out with harvesting, packaging, arranging flowers, and selling our great produce and products, please email me directly. If you just want to come out and buy some lettuce, kale, garlic, fava beans, seedlings, handmade vases with bouquets, potted succulents, bath salts, teas, body oil, etc., make sure you bring a reusable bag and some cash!
2. We are asking families to take part with caring for the garden over the summer. This program has been running strong for three years now, and I am looking forward to another summer where different families water, weed, and visit the garden each week. If you are interested in signing up for one of the available weeks below, please email me directly.
- #4 June 29- July 5
- #5 July 6- July 12
- #6 July 13-July 19
- #7 July 20-July 26
- #8 July 27-Aug 2
- #9 Aug 3-Aug 9

3. We are going to be displaying the 2nd graders botanical illustrations done in pencil at the Village Shops and Gallery in El Cerrito. The art work will be on display May 26th, and then May 29th-June 2.
Next week, I will send out more information about this new event!
Thanks everyone and hope to see you in the garden,
