Last Child in the Woods – Saving our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder
by Richard Louv

There is a strong case that nature is not only an enhancement but may even be an imperative to a well-rounded, deliberative and congenial kid. We will be discussing the many benefits of child development in the natural world as well as solutions to waylaying fears that some may have about your child in the great outdoors. If you haven’t had a chance to read the book then please note that this roundtable is open to everyone. The book covers a lot but as we all know discovery is never ending and we encourage your participation, concerns, and ideas.

This is a off-site potluck so please feel free to bring delicious good sustenance to share like breads, crackers, chips, cheese, veggies, dips, salads, nuts, fruits, and/or a few beverages. And as it is off-site that may include wine or beer. We will provide plates, napkins, cups and cutlery.
