It’s a Little Easier to Volunteer at Madera Now!

Happy New Year WCCUSD Family,

The process to become a volunteer has been changed in an effort to make the process easier and faster for our volunteers while still ensuring the safety of our students.  The changes to the process include:

1)  The requirement for TB testing has been waived by the WCCUSD Board.
The Contra Costa County Public Health Department advised the district that requiring  TB testing for volunteers was not a best medical practice or required by law.  All volunteers will complete a health questionnaire as part of their volunteer application to identify individual that may have a high risk of TB for follow-up by the County

2)  Fingerprinting will be FREE for all volunteers effective immediately.
All current volunteers who were pending TB testing to complete their application will be processed immediately.  All parents interested in becoming school volunteers can download the WCCUSD Volunteer flyer (PDF) or go to the WCCUSD website for more information.

  1. That is great news. I thought it was a little weird to have to pay $$ to volunteer at my own child’s school. Its still seems to be a cumbersome process. What about having a fingerprint day at each school so parents could have it done at the school?
