Exciting programs; like the Whale Bus that visited Madera the 2nd graders enjoyed earlier this month. Last week the Lawrence Hall of Science came out and did a hands on squid dissection with the 3rd graders. The 5th graders have also taken quite a few field trips recently to memorable destinations including; San Francisco Maritime Museum, UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens, and the Sacramento History Museum. And at the end of the month we have a Youth in Arts Indian Music Assembly that the whole school will enjoy. All these incredible learning experiences are paid for by contributions through the PTA.
If we don’t get 100% involvement, our programs could be at risk.
What does that mean? That means we would like to see every Madera student covered. The more parents we have involved the more we can accomplish. If we don’t raise enough funds this year, we may have to cut/reduce these programs next year.
We are asking parents for $375 per student. (Which is only about a $1 a day! – Can you spare one latte a week to donate to Madera students?) All levels of donations are needed, welcome and VERY APPRECIATED. If $375 seems too much to bite off at once, please consider setting up a smaller recurring donation through PayPal.
Donate by writing a check (Made payable to Madera PTA) using this form and turn it in with your blue folder or put into the Direct Appeal safe inside the office door. Or click the PayPal button to the left.
But wait, don’t we still have our biggest fundraiser of the year coming up, our annual Auction? Yes! This year’s theme is Bollywood, and we’re all truly excited. (Mark your calendars for April 30th.) But even with our projected earnings from the auction, we still rely on funds from Direct Appeal to cover a big percentage of costs.
Please consider donating today.
Thank you for reading and being a part of our community!
