A Few Madera Camping Tickets Still Available!
August 23-25th – Tilden Park Group Campsites

Day Pass – Families who are not camping are still welcome to come spend the day with us – we will have $10/person Day Pass meal tickets available at the event.

Tilden Camput ‘Burning Dad’ is a two-night family camping adventure in Tilden Park sponsored by the Madera Dads Club. Activities include local hikes, crafts, sports, games, a cardboard city, and stories around the campfire. The Dads Club takes care of all the food, entertaining, and cleaning while the kids play and the adults relax in the Grown-Ups’ Grotto (where children are strictly not allowed). This years event is August 23-25. It’s a great opportunity to get out in the woods and camp with other families, without the long drive. And for those of you without camping gear, we have you covered – just let us know and we will set you up!
Friday afternoon and evening we will be setting up and having a little fun in the process.

Volunteers (and kids) are welcome, please feel free to join us but be prepared to work!
Saturday is the main event. We have a full day of activities planned to keep the kids engaged and the adults happy. After dinner we will have campfire s’mores and a story, followed by a lovely night hike to burn off the sugar. Sunday breakfast is followed by clean-up and fond farewells, and maybe a few more rides on Rusty, our robot dog!

Please join us for this Madera community building event and help us start our school year with a bang!

Contact Kevin Gauna at k@sunbrothers.com if you have any questions.

$45 per person, $180 max per family

  1. Hi all!! My daughter, Phoebe, is starting kindergarten this year and We are interested in coming to the camp out. We were wondering if anyone knew whether it’s possible to bring and stay in a small camper van?
