We’re pleased to share the new Fall MASEP Calendar. Detailed information will be included in the blue folder and is available here: El Cerrito Rec Center MASEP Classes
Thank you also goes to Ms. Makela, the Madera staff and teachers who support MASEP’s goal of providing enriched learning and creative opportunities for Madera students. With every nook and cranny of the school “packed to the brim”…it’s thanks to Madera teachers (and use of classroom space after school) that we continue to have many “Madera onsite” options.
Classes this session include; Cantonese, Tennis, Keyboard, Cartooning, and many more. Check out the full packet and schedule here: http://www.el-cerrito.org/DocumentCenter/View/5062
Registration (through the Recreation Center) opens Aug 31st.
Classes start September 14th and run through November 23rd.

New Classes/Instructors? [Submit info. by 10/2 (or soonest!) to be considered for Session 2]
(Course Proposal Form)
We’re always looking for new and interesting topics for MASEP. Share the “Course Proposal Form” (http://www.el-cerrito.org/DocumentCenter/View/5060) with anyone interested. Examples of topics we’re been recruiting for lately (no leads yet): Hip Hop, Instruments/Music (Recorder, Guitar, etc.), Musical Theatre, Social Dance, Yoga, Cooking. (For more detailed information, reach out directly to program manager, Vivian Brandt, firstname.lastname@example.org )
Reminder: MASEP will happen in 3-sessions during the school year.
Session 2 (11/30/15-3/4/16) will have a 10-11 week session
Session 3 (3/7/16-5/27/16) will have an 11 week session
The goal of the change is make it more convenient for parents by reducing the number of times parents would have to register for classes and organize schedules. This also helps the Instructors provide a more focused curriculum and allowing more time for them to build those relationships and skills with your children. [The “per class” rates will remain consistent; though you’ll notice each class overall cost will be higher due to more classes per session.]
Also, please note: For Sessions 2 and 3 you will see an increase in Transportation Fees due to additional days (if applicable; $20 each for Session 2 and 3), Material Fees (if applicable; weeks of class = additional class fees).
